4 of My Favorite Art Tools

I have gone through a lot of art supplies. I’ve been drawing and creating art for a long time.  Also if you want to try some of these tools out just click on the link or the picture for each product.  Anywho here is the list!

Oil Pastels

Van Gogh Oil Pastels 24 Color Set

These Oil Pastels are very smooth and easy to blend. The color pay off is very nice and it works well with oil.

I really like the markers, especially how they vary in size. It really helps me when I try to make very detailed pictures.

Sharpie Permanent Marker

When I want opacity in a piece I would reach for a sharpie. They get the job done and I also like that there are about 3 different tips that sharpies can come in. I like using these with the pens for hair .

Here is an example of a piece I did with Sharpie.

Colored Pencils:

These colored pencils are very pigmented and the colors are very bold. I enjoy using these colored pencils when I am doing mixed medium pieces. I use these with pens, markers, and pencil.

Blending Stumps

When I use a pencil or oil pastel I use a blending stump to smudge everything out.  Recently I have been using a blending stump out with oil pastels and I enjoy it.
